MARK BURNS, PE, CFEI – FOUNDER / PRINCIPAL
Mark Burns has over 24 years experience in the field of structural engineering.
Since 2009, he has applied his expertise to construction, construction defect claims, structural & building component damage, fire & explosions, and civil & structural engineering related issues, including damage assessment, cause / origin and litigation support. His previous experience includes residential / commercial structural design and construction management.
Mark has also qualified as a civil & structural engineering expert, testifying in State & US district courts in Colorado and Wyoming.
Mark is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), through the National Association of Fire Investigators. In addition, he is a licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas, Michigan and Wisconsin.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
BS in Civil Engineering (with a Structural Engineering focus), Michigan Technological University, 1997.
Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), 2012 – current.
PROFESSIONAL LICENSES
Professional Engineer (PE): States of Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas, Michigan and Wisconsin.
